The first number on a safari page is useful only when you know what it buys. The local Wilpattu safari price is a private jeep rate, not a complete holiday budget and not a ticket for each passenger. Separating jeep hire, admission and road travel makes it much easier to compare quotations fairly.
The current rate is USD 60 total per private jeep for 1–6 people, with a safari driver and nearby Wilpattu hotel pickup and drop-off. Park entrance tickets, meals and personal expenses are excluded. Longer-distance transfers need a separate quote.

Read the unit before dividing the price
One to six people share the quoted jeep rate. For example, a group of two does not pay USD 60 each for the jeep, while a group larger than six needs a separately confirmed vehicle arrangement. Share the full passenger count, including children, before asking for a final figure. Capacity is not a reason to leave anyone out of the booking details.
Keep admission and transport on separate lines
The park entrance charge is additional to the jeep. Ask what information is needed for the current admission quotation and how payment will be handled. Meals and personal expenses also sit outside the advertised jeep rate. If your hotel is outside the nearby pickup area, confirm the extra road transfer rather than assuming that every property described as near Wilpattu is included.
Compare the same service
Check session, planned duration, passenger capacity, exact pickup area and any requested extras on each quote. A full-day request or an additional transfer should be priced on its own terms; do not apply the USD 60 session rate automatically.
