Minneriya National Park – Home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and the place where you can witness large Elephant gatherings. There are nine species of amphibians, 24 species of mammals, 25 species of reptiles, 26 species of fish (three of which are endangered), 75 species of butterflies and 160 species of birds.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress (World Heritage) – This “Fortified Well Planned “city fortress on Sigiriya rock in 477 AD standing at the foot of the rock today it seems a staggering achievement but a palace and complex of gardens were constructed on the 3-acre summit and for 18 years served as a royal citadel.
Elephant Orphanage Pinnawala - is an orphanage, nursery, and captive breeding ground for Asian elephants. Pinnawalla is having the largest herd of captive elephants (Elephas Maximum Maximum) in the world, The orphanage was originally formed to protect elephants who were wounded/abounded in jungles and is one of the best activities of family adventure holidays in Sri Lanka
Royal Botanical Garden Kandy - (Recommended activity during your Sri Lanka family holiday) - First conceived as a Queen's pleasure garden in the 14th century and a Kandyan Prince's residence in the 18th century the gardens were formally opened under their current guise in 1821. Walking around these tranquil, immaculately-designed lawns, borders, pavilions, and plant houses.

Nuwara Eliya - is a town in the central highlands of Sri Lanka with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. This city was initially developed by the British as their holiday center during the British colonial period and still, Nuwara Eliya looks like a little England. Most of the buildings are typically British.
