Sri Lanka Itinerary 4 Days – Culture & Tea Country

Depart from your Colombo hotel or Bandaranaike International Airport and travel directly to Dambulla. Visit Dambulla Cave Temple before continuing to Sigiriya. Airport arrival time determines the sightseeing schedule.

Explore the cave temples and their Buddhist paintings and statues, then climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress to discover its gardens, frescoes and views.

Your driver coordinates the route and stops. Entrance tickets are separate. The national park safari is planned for Day 2 before travelling to Kandy.

Overnight in Sigiriya for Night 1. Hotels and meals are separate unless included in your quotation.

Sigiriya Programme

• En the route to Sigiriya Visit Dambulla Cave temple
• Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a legendary fortress build on a rock 2500 years ago On the rock fortress, witness the famous frescoes of ancient Sri Lankan damsels.
• Check in to the hotel.
• Overnight stay at the Hotel in Sigiriya

Begin with a national park safari from the Sigiriya area, with the park and jeep arrangements confirmed during planning. Wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions.

After the safari, travel to Kandy, visiting a herbal garden en route. Visit the Temple of the Tooth and explore the city and viewpoint. Royal Botanical Gardens can be visited if time permits.

Attend the Kandy cultural show starting at 5:00 pm. Your driver coordinates the visits around the show. Overnight in Kandy for Night 2. Hotels, meals, attraction and show tickets, and safari jeep hire are separate unless included in your confirmed quotation.

Kandy Programme

• After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the wildlife safari.
• Take the adventurous National park safari Tour.
• After the National Park Safari, start the journey to Kandy, en route, visit the Herbal Garden
• In the evening, explore the world-famous temple of the Tooth, the main attraction in Kandy.
• Kandy city and viewpoint; Royal Botanical Gardens if time permits. Cultural show at 5:00 pm.
• Overnight stay in Kandy

Travel from Kandy into the tea country on a Nuwara Eliya day excursion. Visit a tea plantation and factory, see Ramboda Waterfall and explore Nuwara Eliya, including the Lake Gregory area.

The proposed programme also includes Hanuman Temple and Seetha Amman Temple. Discuss Ambuluwawa Tower, the Royal Botanical Gardens and gem museum during planning; visits depend on your priorities and time available. Return to Kandy for Night 3. Entrance tickets, hotels and meals are separate unless quoted.

Nuwara Eliya Programme

• After breakfast at the hotel proceed to the Nuwara Eliya Tour.

• Discuss Ambuluwawa Tower, Royal Botanical Gardens and the gem museum; visits depend on time available.
• Explore Tea Plantation and Tea Factory visit
• Enroute visit Ramboda Waterfall.
• Seetha Amman Temple.
• Hanuman Temple.
• Return to Kandy for Overnight Stay

Depart Kandy for Bandaranaike International Airport at the agreed time. Share your flight details so the transfer allows sufficient time for travel and airport check-in. Any en-route stops depend on the departure schedule. No overnight stay on Day 4.
