JK Travels Sri Lanka · Sigiriya travel journal · 20
A first Sigiriya visit becomes easier when a few decisions are made before the day: the right itinerary, an accurate passenger count, the amount of climbing and a clear budget. This checklist brings those decisions together and points you to the more detailed guides in our Sigiriya travel series.

Confirm the tour, hotel pickup, passenger count, price basis, entry costs and climbing preferences before booking. Use the cultural tour page for the current itinerary and price, then send your requirements through the ready-to-fill WhatsApp enquiry.
For the current route, price and booking details, see our Sigiriya tour booking information.
Choose the correct booking page
JK Travels offers more than one Sigiriya-related route. The private Sigiriya and Dambulla day tour from Colombo or Negombo is the cultural option described here; it is not the separate itinerary with a scheduled safari. Check the departure point, stop list, return arrangement and exclusions. If you are staying in Kandy or already near Sigiriya, compare a service that fits that starting location rather than assuming a Colombo package applies.
Prepare your group and budget
Send the full passenger count, children’s ages and hotel location. The current cultural-tour rate is USD 135 total for 1–3 passengers, not per person. Entrance fees and meals are extra. Agree how much climbing each person wants and explain any mobility or comfort requirements before confirming. Bring suitable clothing for Dambulla as well as practical footwear for the outdoor visit.
Make the final confirmation useful
Ask for the agreed pickup, route, included services, extra costs and relevant booking conditions in writing. Mention a flight, evening reservation or different drop-off before accepting the plan. Keep your contact method available on the day. A WhatsApp link opens an editable message; you still need to complete the details and press Send, and an enquiry is not itself a confirmed booking.
