Meet your driver at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Colombo. The programme follows your flight arrival, with time to check in, freshen up and recover from the journey.
If you arrive early and feel ready, discuss a short Colombo city outing before returning to the hotel. Otherwise, keep the afternoon free for rest. Arrange a meal around your arrival time and your children’s needs.
Spend the evening at leisure and settle in for your first night. Hotel check-in arrangements and any early check-in are confirmed with your accommodation.
After breakfast, check out and leave Colombo for Sigiriya. Travel by private vehicle, allowing comfort stops and a lunch break along the way rather than rushing the transfer.
Plan a visit to Dambulla Cave Temple en route if arrival time and your family’s walking preferences allow. The approach involves steps; wear suitable clothing and shoes, and allow time for water and rest. If the journey runs late, discuss moving the visit to another suitable day.
Continue to your Sigiriya accommodation, check in and unwind. Keep the evening free for dinner and rest before the following day’s sightseeing.

After breakfast, set out for Sigiriya Rock Fortress, choosing an early start where practical to avoid the hottest part of the day. Allow time for the gardens, the approach to the rock and breaks during the visit.
The climb involves many steps and is optional for family members who prefer a ground-level visit. Plan the pace around your children’s ages and mobility. Take a lunch break after sightseeing, then return to the hotel for downtime.
If everyone feels comfortable, discuss a short village-area outing later in the day; this is optional and arranged separately. Return to your accommodation for a relaxed evening. Entrance tickets and optional activities are extra unless quoted.
After breakfast, choose between a quiet morning at your accommodation and an additional cultural outing agreed with your driver. Keep the schedule flexible around the previous day’s walking and your children’s energy.
A nearby national park safari can be discussed in advance if suitable for your family and available on your dates. Confirm the park, departure and jeep arrangements before setting out; safari jeep hire and park entrance are extra unless quoted, and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Allow a lunch break and time to rest between activities. Return to the same Sigiriya accommodation for the evening rather than adding another hotel move.

Continue to Kandy

After breakfast, check out and travel to Kandy in your private vehicle. Stop for refreshments and a meal as needed, with the day’s departure arranged around the road journey and sightseeing.
Plan a visit to the Temple of the Tooth, subject to access and your arrival time. Dress respectfully and allow time for security checks and walking within the temple precinct. Admission is separate unless included in your quotation.
Check in to your Kandy accommodation and take time to rest. A brief lakeside walk can be discussed if daylight and energy allow; otherwise, keep the evening free for dinner.

After breakfast, start a relaxed outing around Kandy, with time for city views and short walks. Agree the day’s pace with your driver so there is room for water, shade and comfort breaks.
Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens can be arranged as an optional visit if your family would enjoy a longer walk. Allow a lunch break and choose a manageable programme rather than filling the day with additional stops. Garden admission is separate unless quoted.
Return to the hotel for downtime before dinner. A cultural show is not automatically included and should be discussed in advance if requested.

Into the tea-growing hills

After breakfast, check out and follow the hill-country road from Kandy towards Nuwara Eliya. The winding journey is part of the day’s programme, with comfort breaks and selected scenic stops rather than a rushed transfer.
Plan a tea plantation visit and discuss a tea factory stop subject to operating arrangements. Allow time for lunch on the way and choose stops according to weather, road conditions and your family’s comfort.
Continue to Nuwara Eliya, check in and enjoy a quieter evening in the cooler hill country. Bring a light layer for the evening; additional visits and entry charges are agreed separately.
After breakfast, set out for a relaxed look around Nuwara Eliya, keeping the morning suitable for your family’s preferred walking pace. A Gregory Lake outing can be planned if the weather allows.
Take a lunch break, then choose between more town scenery and returning to your accommodation for rest. Boat rides and other paid activities are optional, with availability and charges confirmed locally.
Keep the evening unhurried, with time for dinner and preparation for the onward journey to Ella. Attraction entry and activities are extra unless expressly included in your quotation.

A train alternative may be discussed in advance only if an operating service, tickets, departure time and the vehicle meeting arrangement can be confirmed. A rail journey or a particular carriage is not guaranteed or automatically included.
Arrive in Ella, check in and settle into your accommodation. Keep the remainder of the day light, with time for a short walk or simply dinner and rest before the next day’s outings.

Little Adam’s Peak is an optional hike for those comfortable with the path and steps. Choose it according to the heat, conditions and your children’s energy rather than treating it as compulsory. Stop for lunch and leave space between activities.
Return to your Ella accommodation for a quieter afternoon or evening. Confirm a manageable final programme with your driver; the day does not promise every Ella attraction, and entrance fees or additional activities are extra unless quoted.

Ella to Yala safari and the beach

After breakfast, check out of your Ella accommodation and depart early towards Yala. Travel by private road transport with comfort breaks; arrange the departure and a meal break around the confirmed safari slot.
Join a planned Yala safari en route to the coast, then continue directly to your beach hotel that evening. This is a long travel day: confirm park access, safari timing and the final coastal hotel before booking. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Check in at the beach hotel and rest after the journey. There is no overnight stay near Yala. Safari jeep hire, national park entrance tickets and meals are extra unless expressly included in your confirmed quotation.

After breakfast, enjoy an unhurried day at your coastal base. Keep the morning free for rest, a beach walk or activities agreed with your family, without another hotel transfer.
Take a lunch break and leave the afternoon flexible. Swimming depends on the beach, weather, currents and supervision; check conditions locally before entering the water. Water sports and boat excursions are optional and charged separately.
Return to your accommodation whenever you are ready and enjoy a relaxed evening. Meals, personal expenses and additional activities are extra unless listed in your confirmed quotation.

After breakfast, depart for an optional Galle Fort outing if it suits the location of your beach hotel and your family’s preferred pace. Alternatively, keep the day free at your coastal base.
Explore the fort’s streets and coastal viewpoints with shade, water and refreshment breaks. Allow time for lunch and supervise children near the ramparts; adjust walking to the weather rather than committing to a fixed-length route.
Return to your beach accommodation for the evening and prepare for departure the following day. Extra activities, meals and admission charges are separate unless included in your quotation.

Have breakfast before departure if your flight schedule allows, then check out of your coastal accommodation. Your driver will transfer you to Bandaranaike International Airport, with the pickup arranged around your confirmed flight time.
Allow for road conditions, comfort stops and airline check-in requirements. An early flight may require departure before breakfast or a change to the final overnight location; review this before confirming the itinerary.
The tour ends with your airport drop-off. No additional sightseeing is promised on departure day, and no overnight stay is scheduled.

Are hotels, meals and entrance tickets included?
Only services expressly listed in your confirmed quotation are included. Hotels, room types, meals, attraction tickets, safari jeep hire, park entry, rail tickets and flights must be checked separately. There is no automatic all-inclusive promise.
Can the route suit younger children?
Discuss your children’s ages, mobility, interests and rest needs before booking. Walking, climbing and hikes can be reduced or omitted, subject to a workable route and revised quotation. Child-seat requirements and availability must be confirmed.
Can we include a safari or train journey?
Request these during planning. Train services, tickets and carriage arrangements require confirmation; no specific train or seat is guaranteed. Safari suitability, jeep hire, park entry and operating conditions must be checked, and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
